The Hunger Games

"Happy Hunger Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor."
-Effie Trinket, The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins

Who watched The Hunger Games opening weekend? I did! That movie my friends was everything that I had hoped for. Except for a minimal lack of accuracy with the book. In the book we are shown with the tributes being savage when killing. The movie was rated PG-13 so that obviously made the gory scenes limited to a minimum.

Jennifer Lawrence, who played the character of Katniss Evergreen, was the perfect fit to this role. She has this emotionless face expression, that fits perfectly with the character.   What I had pictured about Katniss was well portrayed in the movie and the actress, Jennifer, was able to even amplified that attitude farther.

For a movie made from kids killing each other, it was pretty good. People where expecting that it was going to be very gory like the book, so some parents were concerned about letting their kids see it. I for one wasn't bothered, I just wanted to see the film. Others came to me and asked me if it was a chick flick. Well I for one haven't seen a chick flick that involves killings of kids. This movie is worth paying for. This movie has become #1 in the box office, it has made over $155 million opening weekend. Surpassing Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 1. I rate this movie 5 Stars out of 5, and its a must see movie. There has been confirmation that there's  going to be a second part of the #1 book trilogy by Suzanne Collins.

All of you who did see the movie, did you guys like it? leave a comment below with thoughts. Till next time.

Mission Statement

Well hello everyone and welcome to my blog. I've created this blog to let all of you movie watchers know what I thought of the most recent, and old, movies.

Movies are my passion. Watching movies is the most popular activity to do with family and friends, but its hard to decide on the movie to see. Well that's where my blog comes in handy.

Family movie night is also a hassle. Brother and Sister debating on the scary movie, while mom wants the romantic movie. I can be an assistant because I relate to my followers.                                                          I hope this blog helps you decide which movie to see, but BE AWARE I may include some SPOILERS from upcoming box office flicks.
